The investment business of LMS Capital has its roots in London Merchant Securities plc's experience of venture capital/private equity investing for over twenty years. Over this period the business has been an early stage investor in a number of well-known companies.

Complementing this direct investment strategy, the business has also built up relationships with other venture capital and private equity groups. It was an early limited partner in funds established by Weiss, Peck & Greer and Boston Ventures in the US and these relationships continue to generate fund and co-investment opportunities.

Today the business has an investment portfolio valued at over £200 million which is managed by its in-house investment team.
