Managing Partner, San Francisco Equity Partners

Scott joined LMS Capital in 2003 with responsibility for the group’s US private equity portfolio and in 2005 established San Francisco Equity Partners (SFEP), with LMS Capital as the primary limited partner. San Francisco Equity Partners focuses on investing in expansion stage companies in the consumer, information technology, and service industries.

Scott had broad operational experience having served as SVP, Field Operations for Inktomi Corporation and Chief Executive of Quiver, a venture backed content management business that was acquired by Inktomi in 2002 and in which LMS Capital was a significant investor. Previous to that, he was an Executive Vice President of WorldRes Inc., one of the first private equity backed online travel companies. Scott’s career began as a corporate finance attorney for leading Silicon Valley law firm Venture Law Group, where his practice focused on private and public financings, mergers & acquisitions, and corporate partnering transactions. Scott's client list included industry leaders such as Yahoo!, Intel, and WebTV Networks, as well as several venture capital and private equity firms.

Scott holds a JD from UC Berkley's Boalt Hall School of Law and a BA from the University of California at Berkeley.
